1. Changing the font for text fields.

The Magnetic Image Gallery uses Arial and Verdana as the default fonts for text fields. To change the default font, open the source FLA file (MagneticImageGallery.fla) and do the following:

Category text:

Open "Magnetic Image Gallery" folder -> "Category items" folder in the Library panel, and select "category text" symbol.
Select the dynamic text field in "category text" symbol, and choose the font you would like to use.
By default, the "Uppercase", "Lowercase", "Numerals" and "Punctuation" character sets for the dynamic text field are embedded. If you want to use an embedded font, leave the above character sets selected.

Images counter text:

Open "Magnetic Image Gallery" folder -> "Controls items" folder in the Library panel, and select "images counter text" symbol.
Select the dynamic text field in "images counter text" symbol, and choose the font you would like to use.
By default, the "Numerals" character set and the "/" character for the dynamic text field are embedded. If you want to use an embedded font, leave the above characters selected.

Description text:

Open "Magnetic Image Gallery" folder -> "Description items" folder in the Library panel, and select "description text" symbol.
Select the dynamic text field in "description text" symbol, and choose the font you would like to use.
By default, the "Uppercase", "Lowercase", "Numerals" and "Punctuation" character sets for the dynamic text field are embedded. If you want to use an embedded font, leave the above character sets selected.

2. Using special characters such as ã¥ûñ in the description text.

You need to embed these special characters in the text field first. To do this, open the source FLA file (MagneticImageGallery.fla) and make the following steps:

Open "Magnetic Image Gallery" folder -> "Description items" folder in the Library panel, and select "description text" symbol.
Select the dynamic text field in "description text" symbol. In the properties panel, press the "Embed" button and you will then see a field labeled "Include these characters" — paste the special characters that you need here.

3. Formatting HTML text in XML (bold and italic styles) if the font of the description text is specified as embedded.

You need to embed the characters for bold and italic styles first. To do this, open the source FLA file (MagneticImageGallery.fla) and make the following steps:

Open "Magnetic Image Gallery" folder in the Library panel, and select "MagneticImageGallery" symbol.
With the text field selected ("text field for embedded font (bold)" layer), choose the same font as the description text field, and select the Bold icon in the properties panel. Now press the "Embed" button and select "Uppercase", "Lowercase", "Numerals" and "Punctuation" character sets and press "OK".
Create a new text field, choose the same font as the description text field and select the Italic icon. Repeat the above steps for embedding character sets.

4. Applying the bold/normal style for the font of the category text.

By default the category text is boldface. To change it to "normal", open the source FLA file (MagneticImageGallery.fla) and do the following:

Open "Magnetic Image Gallery" folder -> "Category items" folder in the Library panel, and select "category text" symbol.
Select the dynamic text field in "category text" symbol, and toggle the Bold icon in the properties panel to "normal" style.

5. Applying the bold/normal style for the font of the images counter text.

By default the images counter text is "normal". To change it to "bold", do the following:

Open the configuration XML file (gallery.xml) and set the imagesCounterFontWeight parameter to "bold".
Open the source FLA file (MagneticImageGallery.fla), then open "Magnetic Image Gallery" folder -> "Controls items" folder in the Library panel, and select "images counter text" symbol.
Select the dynamic text field in "images counter text" symbol, and toggle the Bold icon in the properties panel to "bold" style.
